Number of Participants: 150 Higher Secondary Students
This program initially started with introduction of SRM IST and about Ramapuram campus. Eligibility criteria to pursue under graduation study especially for B. Sc has been explained and highlighted the insights about biotechnology and their subjects. Talk continues with the various fields and scope of biotechnology. Students were eagerly discussed about the opportunities of higher studies and research areas in biotechnology. Finally good interacted students were appreciated with pen as compliments. Talk was given by Dr. Suresh. S Assistant Professor (Sr. G)/Biotechnology.
Followed the talk, workshop has been started with a brief introduction on food adulteration, different types of adulterants used in food varieties, and importance of healthy food. All the students were participated untheatrically. Adulterant food samples were tested qualitatively by student coordinators Ms. Amrita, Ms. Preethi and Ms. Kajal Yadav, I Year B. Sc Biotechnology. Students under colour change and dilutions.
Both the sessions were ended successfully with positive feedback given by the students and School management.
