His teaching philosophy emphasises conceptual understanding, research-oriented learning, and ethical scientific practices. By integrating classroom teaching with practical research experience, he encourages students to develop critical thinking, scientific curiosity, and problem-solving skills. He is committed to mentoring future researchers and fostering innovation in life sciences and biomedical research.

Work Experience:

  • Served as Deputy Dean – Research at Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad (April 2021 – May 2025), leading research administration, faculty development, and Ph.D. programmes.
  • Worked as a Senior Research Associate at Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad (2020 – 2021), coordinating funded research projects and institutional research initiatives.
  • Completed a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at The Ohio State University, USA (2018 – 2019), conducting translational cancer research.
  • Served as a Research Scientist at Nova Southeastern University, USA (2012 – 2018), focusing on cancer biology, molecular mechanisms, and anticancer therapeutics.
  • Worked as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at J.J. College of Arts and Science, India (1999 – 2007), teaching undergraduate and postgraduate biochemistry courses.

Projects:

  1. Investigation of FAK in Ovarian Cancer Samples (2012–2015) – Served as Principal Investigator for a Health Professions Division Grant at Nova Southeastern University, USA. The project investigated the role of Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) in ovarian cancer progression and potential therapeutic targets.
  2. Enhancing Therapeutic Potential of Anticancer Drugs Using Phycocyanin (2013–2015) – Worked as Co-Principal Investigator on a President’s Faculty Research & Development Grant. The research explored the use of phycocyanin to improve anticancer drug effectiveness while reducing treatment-related toxicity.
  3. Post-COVID Recovery and Respiratory Health (2020–2021) – Led an institutional research project evaluating micronutrients, antioxidants, immunomodulators, and pranayama in improving respiratory function and reducing stress among post-COVID patients.
  4. Triple Negative Breast Cancer Biomarker Study (2023–2024) – Served as Principal Investigator for a study on SNP identification and protein profiling in Indian women with triple-negative breast cancer. The project focused on identifying biomarkers for early diagnosis and personalised treatment.
  5. Salivary Biomarkers in Oral Cancer (2023–2024) – Led an extramural research project to identify salivary prognostic biomarkers associated with heavy metal exposure in tobacco-induced oral squamous cell carcinoma. The study aimed to support non-invasive diagnosis and early disease detection.

Publications:

  1. Electronic resources literacy and e-reading behaviour among nursing students.
  2. The neurobiological concepts and treatment regimen of schizophrenia.
  3. D-dimer as a potential biomarker in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
  4. Biocatalytic Potential of Pseudomonas Species in the Degradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons.
