Dr.J.Dhilipan-HOD/MCA and Vice Principal-Admin presented the welcome address. During this, he welcomed the chief guest of todays function.SRMIST provides lot of events, through theMoU with M/s Deepspehere.AI , and a new course BCA DATA SCIENCE is introduced with the curriculum designed by domain experts of M/s Deepspehere.AI.
We organise many programs to school students every year and provide placement opportunities with our MoU’s. He concluded his address by requesting the participants to make use of this forum

Mr. JothiPeriasamy -Co-Founder & Chief AI Architect -DeepSphere AI-USA started the session by introducing the importance of AI.
SESSION 1 INTRODUCTION TO AI
The first session was an highly interactive session where all the participants have put lots of questions and also answered the queries raised by the guest speaker.He discussed about how to differentiate a Real dog Vs artificial dog
He then explained about the different types of computer softwares and where they are used.
What is intelligence and what are the types of intelligence?
• Intelligence
• Human intelligence
• Emotional intelligence
• When you combine all the above it is ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
He interpreted the above with diagrams and explained- knowledge, skills, expertise, and competency #these are called intelligence.How did we gain this type ofintelligence?Described the importance of formal training and informal training
He then explained about who is performing these intelligence?He then explained about emotional intelligence with the help of some pictures. It doesn’t require any training, either formal or informal. It is happening based on maturity level.His discussion continued with What is AI? How AI is applied in real world problems?He then explained about -What is intelligence automation?
He added that Data science is related with machine learning and big data.
Why we are applying science to data? Extract hidden facts of data? Examples given with medical data extraction. What is digital and digital media? Examples of uber App explained. He concluded session 1 by explaining In what form AI is applied in business? AI-DS -Intelligence automation—digital transformation
SESSION #2
In the Section 2-he discussed about some Real world applications and the few use cases covering various verticals domains
• Digital Health care solutions – finding a doctor, medicine, consultation, surgery
• Digital consumer solutions-supermarket use cases- sales flash, revenue, cost
• Energy, electricity and real estate use cases- buildings profile, energy rate, line loss, distribution, fraud detection
He concluded his address by explaining Machine learning (ML)
Then the session was opened to the audience for interaction and clarification of their queries. The entire session was much useful for all the participants
Mrs.J.SHOBANA, AP/MCA, proposed the vote of thanks. Around 105 participants attended the event and participation certificates were issued. The event was coordinated by Dr.P.Sudha-AP/MCA.
