INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Department of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) conducted a Virtual Flag Hoisting Ceremony on 15.8.2021 at 8:00 am to 8:30 for teaching fraternity /for school students/for students. Dr. V. Deepa – Head i/c A&F gave a Warm welcome and highlighted the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and wished a happy independence day.INDIAN FLAG hoisted digitally. Patriotic song Thaiyin Manikodi pareer was played to boost the patriotic spirit. Thai manne vanakkam song was played to kindle the patriotic feel within the participants. Patriotic motivational speech was proposed by Mrs. R. Vinodhini, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (A&F) the event organizer. In her speech , she highlighted the theme of 75th Independence day “ Nation first , Always first”. She also differentiated the flag hoisting & unfurling methods on Independence day and Republic day. She insisted the young bloods to understand , realize & recognize all the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters by not mere saluting them but by being responsible citizen in joining hands to create India as corruption free, danger free , poverty free zone with flourishing future. Dr. Aarthi Alamelu proposed the formal vote of thanks along with which she injected the patriotic spirit with her quotes to the participants . The ceremony ended with National Anthem. The program was well organized by Mrs.Vinodhini .R & Dr. Aarthi Alamelu.
