REPORT ON THE ENGLISH DEBATE HELD ON 21.08.2021
The Department of English and other Foreign Languages of College of Science and Humanities conducted Virtual English Debate on
“WHICH IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS? HARD WORK OR SMART WORK”
was held on 21.08.2021 at 10 am through G-Meet with six participants- three on each side of the topic in the presence of DR.C.Sundar, Dean/Principal –FSH, Dr.N.Asokan, Vice Principal (Academics), Dr.V.Rema, Professor & Head/EFL. The debate was coordinated and moderated by Dr.G.Immanuel, Assistant Professor(Sl.G), Dept. of EFL. The event began with Dr.V.Rema (HOD/EFL) welcoming the gathering, Dr.N.Asokan (Vice Principal (Academics) rendered his informative and appreciative felicitations followed by the heated debate between the two teams comprising of Mrs.J.Shyamala Devi (AP/BCA), Dr. Kabirdas Devi, (AP/B.COM), Dr.N. Sumathi, (AP/EFL) on the side of HARD WORK and Dr.Ramu Vasan (AP/B.COM), Dr. Jayachandran (AP/BCA) and Mr.N.Krishnamoorthy (AP/MCA) on the side of SMART WORK. The neck to neck debate was informative, critical and argumentative in nature. The team supporting Hard Work excelled in defending their side well. Finally the event unfolded its curtain with a brief vote of thanks.
