The Department of Commerce conducted a one day webinar Programme on “Financial Empowerment through Wealth Creation” for teaching fraternity and students. The Resource person, Shri Suryakant Sharma, Senior Consultant, AMFI, Former DGM, SEBI spoke on financial literacy among individual. He discussed about the basic financial needs, savings of an individual, money accumulation and floating financial system of middle class peoples. He suggested the various government investment schemes like Public Provident Fund (PPF), Postal Life Insurance (PLI) etc.. The online session was attended by around 400participants, students from various states. The presentation was followed by a Q & A session. The webinar/workshop/event was well-coordinated by the faculty members Mr.J.Sathish Kumar and Mr.D.Rengaraj. E-certificates were mailed to all the participants.
