ONE DAY WEBINAR ON INVESTORS AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON 14.12.2021
The Department of Commerce (General and Corporate Secretaryship)organised a webinar for B.com leads on 14.12.2021 from 11 a.m to 12.15 p.m. The programme was hosted by Mr. Murugan, Assistant Professor (SG) and started with an official welcome speech by Dr. Jesintha Rani, Assistant Professor (SG). The Guest speaker Ms. Jacqueline Vales Senior corporate trainer, Bombay Stock Exchange was introduced to participants by Dr. J. Kumar, Assistant Professor and convenor. The guest speaker Ms. Jacqueline Vales delivered a speech by highlighting to students about investing can work so long as the investor is in it for the long-term and is prepared to apply some serious effort and research to their stock selection. Then sessions focused on mutual fund investments and stock markets tricks while investing. The speaker brought the content of types of schemes in mutual funds, return calculation in the long term investment and equity investment comparison with inflation. In addition to SEBI Guidelines for the investors were mainly discussed with the participants. The question and answer session at the end of the programme whereby students actively raised questions on the delivered topic and overwhelmed response among them. The online session was attended by around 173 students. The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. V. Prabakaran, Assistant Professor and convenor.
