Department of Visual Communication organized a Media Skill Lecture on 3D Animation in topic Traditional vs Modern Animation Techniques in 3D Animation on Thursday 27th January 2022. Around 130 students joined in google meet and youtube for the session. We started the seesion with welcome address. The session was started by an introduction video of the guest Mr.M.R.Karthikeyan, Senior 3D Animator at Symbiosis technologies, Chennai. He explained what is animation, types of animation, How traditional animation was made and how in today modern animation techniques were incorporated in films and webseries.

He also showed many video related to 2d and 3d traditional and modern animation making. He explained about Motion capture techniques and How to kickstart the carrier and various opportunites available in animation industry.

The session ended with feedback from the students. The event is organised by Mr.B.Senthil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication, SRMIST, Ramapuram, Chennai-89.
