SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST), Ramapuram Campus, College of Management (MBA) organized workshop on “Interview Etiquette skills” on 1st April 2022 for the pre-final year students of MBA. Mr. Rajesh Chandrasekaran, Academic Manager, T.I.M.E was the chief guest of the day.
Mr. K. Prakash, Coordinator welcomed the gathering and explained how such programs can be utilized for shaping one’s future.
The workshop started with an ice-breaking session and an introduction about the topic by the chief guest.
Mr. Rajesh explained how to face commonly asked questions in the interview which includes
1) Tell me something about yourself
2) Tell me something about your hometown
3) Tell me something about your college4) Which is your favorite subject?
5) Who is your role model and why?
6) Have you been an inspiration to anybody?
7) Hobbies and extracurricular activities
8) Strengths and weaknesses
9) Why you want to join this job
10) Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
The chief guest gave the check list of Do’s and Don’ts in an interview in a practical way involving students. “The key to entire interview is answering the questions with confidence and acceptance”-he said. He also highlighted on the importance of dress code and how to walk into an interview through a demonstration.
Participants raised various questions to the expert and clarified their doubts on interview answering, gesture, code of conduct, etiquette to be followed on the interview day etc.
The training workshop ended with a feedback session.
All participants involved in the session, clarified their doubts and got benefitted.
