Inauguration Event-Report
The Department of Biotechnology, SRMIST, Ramapuram is organizing a one-week tree plantation campaign on “GREEN INVESTMENT” on the occasion of WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY-2022. The inauguration event was conducted on 03.06.2022 in SRMIST, Ramapuram at 9:30 AM. All the dignitaries and guests for this event were welcomed by Dr. Kamaraj, HOD(I/C), and Dr. Vinoth Kumar, co-convenor of the event. The tree plantation campaign was formally inaugurated by Dr. Sundar, Dean (S&H), SRMIST, Ramapuram Campus, Chennai by planting a sapling at the S-Block. Further, Dr. Asokan, Vice Principal (Academic), SRMIST has facilitated the event by planting a sapling. The plantation was further proceeded by Dr. Kamaraj, HOD(I/C), Biotechnology, Dr. Priya, HOD(I/C), BBA, and Ms. Madumitha, a student coordinator. The various HODs (FSH), SRMIST, Ramapuram campus, and the department faculties were graciously present for the inauguration and showcased their support for the green investment.
The school and college students are the participants in this campaign which will be open till 09/06/2022. The registered participants will be planting a sapling at their convenient location and provide a short note on the plant they have planted. All the participants will be provided an e-certificate and the best entries will be awarded at the end of the campaign
