Dr. Betkar started the session with an introduction to Intellectual Property rights and Patent. He explained the importance of IP and IPR’s for academicians, Difference between tangible and intangible property. Briefed about the concept of Patentable inventions and non-patentable inventions. Real times examples were given. Emphasized the importance of protection of innovation, public ethics and morality. Finally, he concluded the session with the steps in patent filing by mentioning the website link, submission of relevant documents and fee details. Nearly 42 faculty members and students are benefited through this session
