The Department of Computer Science & Applications (MCA) have organized an Orientation Programme for Freshers – I MCA on 18.08.2022 from 9.00 am to 11.00 am at TRP-Hi Tech Hall 1.
Dr. J. Dhilipan, Head, Department of MCA, Vice Principal Admin, College of Science and Humanities delivered a talk on “A Guide to MCA Course Scope, Opportunities, Jobs and Making a Successful Career”. He emphasised about salient features of the department, shared about previous year rank holders and placement details. He also mentioned about an effort taken by the department for MoU signed with the industry for the benefits of students in terms of Internship, Mini project and the Major Projects.
The Dean, College of Science and Humanities delivered the felicitation address, mentioned the responsibilities of PG-Students and highlighted about the significance of MCA course.
Mr. Santanu Kumar Mohanty, Associate Lead Cloud Developer, Kone Elevator India Pvt. Ltd. MCA Alumni (2010 – 2013 Batch) shared experiences and motivate the freshers through his talk titled “Join as Student and Leave as an IT Professional”. He has highlighted on what are the preparations required before campus drive. Technical areas to be focused in this digital era for the better placements.
Dr. Jothi Basu, Dean Placement, delivered a talk on “Roadmap for Training and Placement”, he spoke about the various opportunities available for MCA students in the present scenario. He also mentioned about an available timeline to face first campus drive too.
Mr. Antony Velan S, Head Placement, Ramapuram and Trichy Campuses have enlightened our freshers on “Leadership Skills” by mentioning about the importance of communication skills, attitude and leadership quality.
All the above mentioned sessions were very interesting, interactive and informative to our students.
