ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON ANIMATION AND FILM MAKING

The Department of Visual Communication organized Industry Academia Connect Programme on Aug 16th, 2022. An one day workshop on Animation and Film Making by Mr. Vijay Ashokan, Founder, VA studios, Chennai. The welcome address was given by our department head Dr. V. Prabakaran. Mr. Vijay shared his experience producing and directing film “Watch” and showed the making scenes and trailer to the students. Later he explained about ideation process, script and stages of film production. He also showed his animation short film trailer Mr. and Mrs. Valluvars. He defined the terms Animatronics, production part of 2d animation and importance of character sketch. Students actively participated in the session and interacted with the guest speaker.
