Orientation Programme for 1st Year UG & PG Students

Attendees: BCOM GENERAL 1st Year & M.COM 1st year students

The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, CA RAVICHANDRAN SUBRAMANIYAN and* C.A.D SANTHOSH

and other dignitaries.

Dr. S.Venkatramanan – Dean S &H. SRM IST, Ramapuram addressed our chief guest and he spoke about the department and faculty members and also welcome the first year UG & PG B.com Students.

Dr. A.Jayabal – HoD / Commerce explained about the Department Vision, Mission, Code of conduct, Placement record, University rank holders record, Best practices and overall details about Department of commerce. He was clearly explained about the curriculum, placement, rules and regulations of the college.

Dr. J.Sabitha, Assistant professor / Commerce brief about M.Com curriculum and Dr. S.Chandramouli, Assistant professor / Commerce brief about B.Com (General) curriculum.

Our Chief Guest CA RAVICHANDRAN SUBRAMANIYAN shared his professional life experience. He encouraged the students stating the importance of B.com and how it will elevate the students to be a Chartered Accountant. He also made the session interactive.

Our Chief Guest C.A.D SANTHOSH, shared his professional life experience and gave a speech about the higher education studies and placement.

Our Department of Commerce Alumni Athuya (CMA) and V.Gayathiri shared their college experiences and the outside college opportunities. All the 1st Year students were benefited from the words of Chief guests and Alumni’s.

Vote of thanks was given by Priyanka, 2nd Year M.Com (General) and The event ended with the honour of National Anthem.

The overall event was hosted and managed by II year M.Com students.
