The Department of BBA organized a Guest lecture on “Current Trends in HR Recruitment” for the BBA students on 10th Aug 2022 at Gallery Hall, I Floor, Block 5 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. The Resource Person Mr.Chode Venkatesh , Manager- Talent Acquisition, Tech Mahindra, Chennai has lectured on the topic.
The Programme was started with Tamizhthai Vazhthu followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mr. Gafoor, II BBA. Our honourable Dean, Dr.C. Sundar honoured the Chief Guest with a token of appreciation and the student bearers received their badges from the honourable Dignitaries and took Oath thereafter. The HOD of BBA department, Dr.T. Rekha Kiran Kumar delivered the departmental action plan for the current academic year 2022-23.
The Dean, Dr.C. Sundar addressed the gathering with his powerful thoughts, motivated the students, faculty members and appreciated them for their active participation. He also congratulated the student bearers and encouraged them to do their best in the upcoming academic year. Mr. Sai Balaji, III year, has delivered a short introduction about the Chief Guest Mr. Chode Venkatesh who has around 13 years of experience in Auto engineering industries. The Chief Guest also worked as a Global Head HR and received many awards such as “Ace Performer” & “Star Performer of the year”. Apart from being Workaholic, he is also an active District Cricket player, District TT player, and Marathon runner
The session has then handed over to the Guest speaker Mr.Chode Venkatesh. The speaker started the session with thought provoking video and instilled positivity in the young minds of BBA Department. The speaker explained about Recruitment, latest recruitment trends in HR, and recent HR Initiatives taken by the organization. He asked the students to get prepared with their Vision and Mission statements, to set their goals, to benchmark themselves continuously and advised them to join technical forums in Social media. He also asked them to create a unique resume for themselves, build right connections so that they can achieve success in their life.
Mr. Sameer, II BBA delivered Vote of Thanks and thanked all the dignatries, Organizers, Faculty members of BBA Department, Students, Technicians and others for making this event a grand success. The entire event was gracefully anchored by Ms. Priya, II year. Lastly, the session was ended with the National Anthem.
