Human Chain and Cancer Awareness on World International Rose Day

?The program  was intiated with a Human chain on Cancer Awareness  at 1.30 PM with Dean sir, Vice Principal Academic and VP Principal Admin , Dr.AGUSTHIYAR R, Professor and Head ,  DR. U.P Srinivasan, Chief Guest, Mrs. P.M Kavitha , BCA Staff members, First Year BCA students and NSS Volunters in front of  SRMIST Main Gate.

?Followed by Awareness Lecture at Gallarey hall-1 at Block V.

?Mrs. P.M Kavitha, Convenor oriented the Program at 2.30 PM by welcoming all the dignitaries of the program. And the programme was inagurated formally by lighting of Kuthu villaku.

?Dr.AGUSTHIYAR R, Professor and Head, Department of BCA,  gave  welcome  speech. He insisted on the significance of cancer awareness on recent updation in the era.

? Dean (S &H) Maj.Dr.Venkataramanan presided the gathering with a note on cancer and its effects.

?Mrs. V. DEVI, Assistant Professor (Sr.G), Department of BCA introduced the speaker.

?DR. U.P. Srinivasan, MBBS, MS-General Surgery, the Guest Speaker shared his experiences with the gathering since 26 years and continued with the important points with cancer diseases.

?To begin with , he assorted on giving true information on cancer and guided us with the  symptoms of cancer .

?He discussed the methods to be preventive.

?He gave an awareness on the cancer to the staff members and young student community.

? That was an interactive session with the students after the talk and the staff and students raised questions .

? Finally the session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr.E. Srimathi, Assistant Professor (BCA), the Co-convenor of the programme.
