The inaugral ceremony started with ThamizhthaiVazhthu.The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. S. Umarani / Professor & Head Department of Computer Science.Felicitation Address were delivered by Maj. Prof. M. Venkata Ramanan, Dean (S&H), SRMIST, Ramapuram Campus. Words of encouragement was delivered by the resource persons Mr.Monish Raam and Mr. R.Vishal.Words of gratitude was delivered by Dr. GV. Shrichandran, Assistant Professor as vote of thanks.
The session started with the presentation of Mr. D. Siva, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science about the topic ERP & Placement. He gave a clear idea of the placement record in the department for the past 4 years and clearly insisted on the importance of regularity to get placement to the students. He gave a brief introduction to the ERP portal and clearly explained each menu in it. Finally, he gave a clear explanation on the Superset portal.
Dr. Ramya Devi, invited our Guest of Honor for the day, Mr. Pavithran Aravindan, (BSc (CS) Alumni, Web Tagging Specialist,AstraZeneca. To deliver his Introduction and alumni speech to the new joiners. Dr. S. Umarani (HoD-CS), facilitated resource person with a memento.He insisted to make use of all the facilities provided by the University on the right path. He conducted a few ice-breaking activities so that students are more connected. And explained how campus life works in the college and how participation in such events helps in the future. Dr. Ramya Devi, then invited our next resource person for the day, Mr. Divakar R, Freelance Trainer, Communication Skill Developer. To deliver his Introduction and Motivational speech to the new joiners. He briefed the gathering with his experience on how to improve individual personality.He inspired the students with his success and explained the importance of continuous practice. Total number of participants : 110. Dr GV Srichandran , delivered the vote of thanks by thanking the management, Dean, Hod and all the Staff members and Students.
