The Department of Biotechnology & National Service Scheme (NSS), College of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram campus has jointly organized social awareness talk “ஏழாம்அறிவு – மகள்”on the occasion of International Day of Girl Child held on 18.10.2022 at Gallery Hall, First Floor , Block-V.
Dr.M.Kamaraj, Convenor of this programme presented the welcome address and he welcomed the Chief Guest, Dean (S&H), VP Academic (S&H), NSS Coordinator, HoDs, Faculties, Students from our own and sister departments. Dr.G.Rajendran, Co-convenor explained about the aim and important of this programme. Dr N Asokan Vice Principal Academic offered felicitation Address. Dr. M. Vekataramanan, Dean, College of Science and Humanities delivered the presidential address and honoring the chief guest with the memento. In continuation, Ms.S.Aishwarya (III- B.Sc Biotechnology) introduced about the chief guest. The chief guest Dr.M.Esther Jagadeeswari, HoD, Department of Tamil (SS), Ethiraj college for Women, Chennai presented the Inaugural Address and orated about girl childbirth, abuse and their impacts, social importance and leadership quality of women. In this event, Faculties and 130 students were participated from various departments and they commented that it was interested and motivated us in various aspects. Finally, Dr.A.R.Bharatha Raja, Coordinator of NSS delivered vote of thanks.
