A day visit to the Anna Centenary Library on 24-01-2023
The Department of English and Foreign Languages organized a visit to Anna Centenary Library for the benefit of B.A. English Students on 24-01-2023 (Tuesday).
The students of B.A. English were taken for a visit to the library at 9:00 a.m. The visit was flagged off by Major. Dr. M. Venkatramanan, Dean, College of Science and Humanities Head of the Department Dr. G. Immanuel and two faculty members Dr. B. Sridevi and Mrs.S.Chidambararani accompanied students for the venue. The students could maximally utilize the books, articles and research papers available from various wings. As per the instruction of the Library Officials, the staff members were asked to divide the students to three batches which could have better monitoring and proper guidance. Each set of students were accompanied by a staff member who effectively guided the student regarding their utility purpose in the library.
I B.A. English Students – worked on ‘Gender Studies’ Project.
II B.A. English Students – surfed notes for ‘Modern, Post-Modern and Contemporary Literature’ & ‘Seminar’ Projects.
III B.A. English Students – elaborately worked upon their ‘Mini Thesis’
In this way, students meticulously utilized the various resources of Anna Centenary Library. They were able to acquire bountiful knowledge from the widest arena of books available under various disciplines. They were motivated as to aspire for their higher studies.
Around 50 students of I, II and III B.A. English students and the faculty members reached the college at 3:00 p.m. The Visit to Library was fruitful and effective for the students’, for their academic career.
