SIX DAYS NATIONAL LEVEL WORKSHOP ON SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP “
The Department of Commerce (Shift I) organised 6-days National Level Workshop on “SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP”
DAY 1
The workshop commenced on 20th February 2023 on titled “Business ethics and corporate social responsibility” for UG & PG students. The Resource person, Mrs. Esther Faith Martina, CEO and Director, Majestic Technology Solutions, Pvt Ltd., spoke on proactively implementing CSR activities through the various working groups in an organisation and it causes of reduce in turnover, increase productivity, revenue and employee engagement. She also spoke on the present scenario of CSR in India along with the set of business ethics that every organisation should follow in order to achieve the desired goals also list of socially responsible companies that are strongly committed to Corporate Social Responsibility. The online session was attended by around 65 participants. She interacted and clarified the doubts of Students. The workshop was well coordinated by the faculty members

DAY 2
The second day, workshop conducted on 21st February 2023 on titled “Ethical Issues and Social Entrepreneurship” for UG & PG students. The Resource person, Dr. M Guruswamy, Principal, Ebenezer Degree College, Bangalore 560077, Karnataka, spoke on the current ethical issues and how business fails to perform ethically. He spoke on the present scenario of social entrepreneurship in India along with how to develop social entrepreneurship skills. The online session was attended by around 78 participants. He interacted and clarified the doubts of Students. The National Workshop was well coordinated by the faculty members

DAY 3
The workshop on 22nd February 2023 on titled “Networks and social entrepreneurship” for UG & PG students. The Resource person, Prof. Magesh.S Director, Jupiter Publications Consortium and Head Trainer ECS officers Training Academy, spoke on how to build social networks and their features and the benefits of creating networks in social entrepreneurship. Being in that field he explained numerous examples for the social network created and their aids along with how to develop social entrepreneurship skills through networking. He also spoke on the present scenario of social entrepreneurship in India He also shared his experience in networking and how it helped him. The online session was attended by around 73 participants. He interacted and clarified the doubts of Students. The workshop was well coordinated by the faculty members

DAY 4
The workshop on 23rd February 2023 on titled “Social Entrepreneurship on Economic Growth in India” for UG & PG students. Dr.R Suganya, Assistant. Professor, Department of Management studies, Fathima College Madurai. spoke on how social entrepreneurship influence the economic growth in India. She has given some key areas where their social entrepreneurs are interested. She also differences between entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship which gives a clear point to know about the topics. she explained with some case studies which helps to know more about the social entrepreneurship. The online session was attended by around 73 participants. She interacted and clarified the doubts of Students which is very interactive and useful. The workshop was well coordinated by the faculty members.

DAY 5
The workshop on 24th February 2023 on titled “Social Entrepreneurship and Social Change” for UG & PG students. Dr. K Prabha Assistant Professor Department of Management sciences, PSG College of Arts and Science – Coimbatore. She shared some knowledge on social entrepreneurs and explained about their aims to the students. She shared some of the real-life social entrepreneurs who have done a great and successful which was highly motivated. The online session was attended by around 75 participants. DAY 6
The workshop on 25th February 2023 on titled “CSR and Social Entrepreneurship” for UG & PG Students’. S. Gayathri, Assistant Professor, Department of Corporate Secretaryship,
Bharathidasan Government College for Women Puducherry. She highlighted the target areas of social entrepreneurship to develop the society and the process of social entrepreneurship . she gave ideas how can a student’s become social entrepreneurs and make social changes in society, environment etc. She the online session was attended by around 73 participants. He interacted and clarified the doubts of Students. While during the feedback session students gave positive feedback about the session. The workshop was well coordinated by the faculty members.
