The event, “Expert talk on entrepreneurial dimension and surmounting business performance of MSME “ was conducted by the College of Management for the students, the event began with a welcome address by Dr. Prakash , Assistant professor, SRMIST, Ramapuram, he addressed the gathering by introducing the guest speaker .
The event was then presided by the guest speaker, Dr. S. Gunapalan, Professor, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. He addressed the gathering on the topic “Visionary leadership and emotional intelligence, “he began his orientation by talking about his university’s curriculum and the exchange programs conducted by them, he explained about visionary leadership, its characteristics and importance, he also quoted that “Visionary leaders don’t recruit to work towards the vision but to support the vision “he also talked about emotional intelligence and how it is important for a leader to be emotionally intelligent, he talked about the components of emotional intelligence and how to tackle failure of vision, he then concluded the orientation with informative and motivating video clippings of eagle rebirth and how to train effectively using sample video of an efficiently & effectively trained dog serving its master .
The event was concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr. Lekha, Assistant professor, MBA, SRM IST, Ramapuram.
