The Department of Biotechnology, College of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Humanities, Ramapuram Camapus organized one day online National Conference on “Retrospect of Biological Sciences” (NCRBS 2023) on 03.04.2023. The conference was organized as two session like inaugural and valedictory session. NCRBS 2023 was inaugurated by Invited chief guest Dr.S.Niranjali Devaraj, ICMR-Emeritus Scientist, Department of Biotechnology, University of Madras, in that Dr.M.Venkatramanan, Dean (S&H) delivered the presidential address and Dr.V.Saravanan, Vice Principal (Academic) delivered the felicitation address.In the plenary lecture session 1, Prof. S.Niranjali Devaraj delivered the lecture on “The re-emergence of glycans”. The plenary lecture session 2 started by Dr.Madam Kumar Perumal, Sr.Scintist, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru and he deleivred lecture on “Molecular aspects of Nutritional intervention for non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The oral presentation of participants was conducted through the online mode. In NCRBS 2023, we received 104 abstracts from various thrust area of biological sciences and the participants enthusiastically presented their research work in this conference. This one-day conference was provided opportunity to the researchers, academician, and industrialist for sharing their scientific knowledge, different methodology of work, research output and so on. Finally, the best oral presentation was selected from the each thrust area of this conference and they were felicitated by awarding.
