NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS) – UNIT
PUBLIC HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAM – 10/03/2023
The NSS unit, SRMIST, Ramapuram has organized a public health awareness program on 10-03-2023 at AV hall, CSH, SRM IST, Ramapuram. This event was organized for faculties, students and staffs of our campus to create awareness on public health. This event was inaugurated by Dr. Subbiah Bharathi, Director, SRM IST, Ramapuram with the presence of Mj. Dr. M. Venkataramanan (Dean, S&H), Dr. V. Saravanan (VP-Academic) and Dr. J. Dhillipan (VP-Administration). Dr. A. R. Bharatharaja, NSS coordinator (S&H) has started the session with a formal introduction about the chief guest, Dr. N. Bhubesh, Zonal Health Officer, Valasaravakkam and Mr. Prabhakaran, Health officer. This was followed with a talk by Dr. N. Bhubesh who has created awareness on public health issues. Then Mr. Prabhakaran has elaborated on the ways of prevention and spreading of dengue fever. The total number of participants who attended this program was around 700 including faculties and students. Finally, Dr. A. R. Bharatharaja, NSS coordinator (S&H) has thanked the chief guest and the participants of this event. Finally, a cup of “kabasura kudineer” was distributed to all the participants.
