ALUMNI INTERACTION
The Department of Visual Communication organized Alumni Interaction for the second day of first year orientation programme on 11th July 2023 at 10.30am to 11.30am. We invited Mr.Deepak.S – Digital Brand Manager, ZEE Tamil and Ms.Suchitra.B, Design Executive,Saregama Pvt Ltd of 2016-19 batch. Alumni students addressed the freshers of Viscom with a warm welcome and shared their views on the programme and courses they studied. They added on their college days experience and challenges they faced during the Internship period. Students explained the importance of active participation of students in various competitions and functions organized by Dept. to hone their skills and to develop the habit of working as a team to exhibit/accomplish a task. They also motivated the students to establish good rapport with media people who visit the Dept. which will in turn help them fetch internships in media organizations. The first year students also asked their queries regarding job prospects, process of digital marketing and current trends in media industry. The session was interactive and for token of love our department head Dr.V.Prabakaran presented mementos to the Alumni students. This event was coordinated by Ms.P.Yuvarani,Alumni Coordinator,Department of Visual Communication,SRMIST,Ramapuram Campus.
