BRIDGE COURSE FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

Department of Commerce organized five days Bridge Course Programme for first year students titled “BRIDGE between GOAL and ACCOMPLISHMENT” from 17.07.2023 to 20.07.2023.  The core objective of this programme is to bridge the gap between subject studied at school level and subjects they would be studying in college level. The programme was organised by Ms.A.N.Amrin Fathima Assistant professor Department, Dr.V.Shruthi Assistant Professor, Dr.P.Maheswari Assistant professor and Dr.C.Sahila, Assistant professor  Department of Commerce. This was four days programmes where various related subtopics were discussed in detail by the faculties.

This programme was started on 17^th July 2023 with Invocation followed by Virtual Lamp Lightening. The program was anchored by the students. They were welcomed by Dr.S.Chitra Head& Professor Department of Commerce. On Day One Ms.A.N.Amrin Fathima, Assistant professor,  has been spoke on the topic “Economic goals are only a stepping stone for human well- being” – An Economic Preview, on Day two Dr.C.Sahila, Assistant Professor  spoke on the topic “Business for Accounting – Preview on Accounting Concepts and Principles” on Day three, Dr. P.Maheswari, Assistant professor, spoke on the topic “BUILD YOUR OWN BUSINESS” – A new era in Business on Day Four Dr.V.Shruthi, Assistant Professor, spoke on the topic “Managerial Economics – Economic concepts and decision Science Techniques”,. Around 250 students have participated from SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Valedictory session was started by Dr. S.Chitra Professor &Head, Department of Commerce, Students have given their valuable Feedback about the sessions. Vote of Thanks has given by first year student from  Department of Commerce.
