History of the Department

The Department of Computer Science w/s in CyberSecurity was established in the year 2023 under the auspices of Faculty of Science and Humanities.  Since then the department’s growth is taking strides in its strength and facilities year by year. Developing technical and administrative competence in security domains is the fundamental goal of the B.Sc degree in Cyber Security in order to satisfy the constantly increasing demands of the contemporary business sector. The department equips its graduates with the information and abilities needed for suitable professional roles and assists them in advancing to leadership roles or pursuing further education.

Academicians, researchers, and industry experts have contributed to the 3 -year Bachelor of  Computer Science w/s in Cyber Security program, making it better equipped to meet industry demands and the current challenges of protecting data from cyberattacks with appropriate risk assessment and mitigation. Through this program, experts who can adjust to any scenario, whether domestically or internationally, are trained. Courses on computer networks, cryptography, network security, digital forensics, cyber laws and ethics, and other topics are available through the curriculum.
