The Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE AND APPLICATIONS conducted a one day E conferrence on 24-06-2020 titled “E-CONFERENCE ON RESEARCH ESSENTIAL IN MACHINE LEARNING AND COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE – ECREMLACI2020 in association with COMPUTER SOCIETY OF INDIA “ for teaching fraternity /research scholars and students.
WELCOME ADDRESS by DR J DHILLIPAN – VICE PRINCIPAL ACADEMIC- HOD/MCA
Dr.J.Dhilipan Proposed the welcome address. During his address he elaborated the initiative taken by the department in promoting research activity. He extended a warm welcome for the Chief Guest of today’s function, Dr.Smitha Sunil Kumaran Nair, Head, Centre for Postgraduate Studies, Middle East College, Sultanate of Oman AND Mr. C. Kirubakaran, Chief Technology Officer, KKM Soft, Chennai .
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE- HOD/BCA :Dr R Agusthiyar, HOD/BCA presented the outline of the conference along with its aims and objectives

Dean Research SRMIST RAMAPURAM, offered felicitations. During his address he advised that quality publications in conferences would elevate the research skills of a faculty member and also help the institution in NIRF rankings. He congratulated the Dean S&H HOD/MCA and for successfully conducting the first ever online conference under the FACULTY of SCIENCE and HUMANITIES.

Mr C Kirubakaran offered the special address. During his address he explained the various projects being carried out in his company across various platforms
He also presented some video clips elaborating the ML application in Industries
He demonstrated a project which is using ML algorithm for deploying a power motor
