About Department
The Department of Psychology offers a graduation programme in Psychology with a revised syllabus as per NEP that benchmarks with other universities with highest NIRF Rankings. The field of psychology is expanding with a rising demand for psychologists in clinical, industrial, and academic environments. The department offers diverse educative Programmes and activities that include field experience, visits to Special Schools, Counselling Centres and Industries. Mental Health Club and Counsel and Care Club function for the students to spruce-up their academic potentials.The scope of the department is to ensure the cultivation of sound minds within the society and facilitate the development of counsellors and psychological professionals.
Highlights
The department was started in 2024 with an enthusiastic batch of students eager to explore the realms of psychology. Despite the department’s recent establishment, three of our students presented papers at an international conference.
- Students enthusiastically celebrated Mental Health Day on 10th October by exhibiting interactive posters that captivated everyone’s attention.
- Students are encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities and have achieved victories in numerous state level sports events by bringing honour to the institution and the department.
The classroom sessions are designed with interactive modules and a variety of hands-on training exercise to help students to gain better subject knowledge through practical experiences.
