In the year 2015, the Department was started with Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication (B.Sc Vis Com) is an innovative Graduate program that prepares students for careers in the media Industry or for advanced graduate study.  Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication Program coordinates three distinct approaches to the media: practical application, historical study, and critical analysis. Practical application combines intensive training in Drawing & Painting, Graphic Design, 2D & 3D Animation Softwares, Camera, Light & Audio equipment operation, production design and a professional internship. Historical study focuses on the evolution of the mass media and the relationship of the mass media to society. Critical analysis explores media ethics, analysis and evaluation. The department’s presence within Chennai city and vicinity to Film Industy, Popular Studios and Media Houses & TV Channels and regular association with them provides an opportunity for students to correlate theory with practical field.

Department of Visual Communication is equipped with the State-of-the-Art Screening Hall for viewing World Movies and Student’s Short Film Projects.


Department of Visual Communication also boasts well established labs and infrastructure to train the students in the field of Photography, Graphic Production, Animation, Film & TV Production and Art Direction
