Expert talk on “Yoga to boost immunity

International Yoga day is  observed on June 21st to highlight the importance of yoga and the pivotal role it plays in rejuvenating our mind and body, leading to a healthier life style. Keeping this in mind the  Department of Mathematics , SRM IST Ramapuram has organised an expert talk on “Yoga to boost immunity” as part of International Yoga day on 21.06.2021.

Dr. Ramakrishna began his talk by comparing yoga with Mathematics where consistency is the key. He stressed on the need to boost immunity systems by practicing good hygiene , good oral health , eating right and avoiding exposure to infections.He rightly pointed out the need to be physically active , get enough sleep, manage stress and keeping weight under control. He further concluded that we should include surya namaskar and pranayama as a part of our daily routine .


More than 100 participants from all over the nation have took part in this program. The participants actively involved themselves in getting their queries answered. Dr. Ramakrishna also demonstrated some asanas for the benefit of the participants.
