Faculty Development Program on “Data Science using AI and Soft Computing techniques ”
SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram in association with E& ICT Academy, NIT Warangal has organized online Faculty development program on Data science using AI and soft computing techniques from 18.09.21 to 27.09.21 .This program was sponsored by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology ( *Meity) GoI .
The aim of this FDP is to disseminate the knowledge in the domain of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Techniques. It empowers the participants to understand how AI and Soft Computing can be used to innovate and improve the various Data Science based approaches. The participants will be trained with hands-on approach in order to have an in-depth insight into the domain of Data Science and expose them to Feasibility & future scope.
Inaugural function
Inaugural function of the FDP was held at 2.30 PM on 18/09/2021. The program began with virtual lighting of the lamp followed by the National song.
Dr. Sujit Das coordinator, NIT Warangal gave a brief introduction about the program and welcomed the participants. Dean, E&T SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram congratulated coordinators of host institutes for their interest in taking up this FDP with trending technology which has brought 4th Industrial revolution in the world today.
Director, SRM group of Institutions Ramapuram, mentioned in his inaugural address that, Data Science is the current reining technology that has conquered industries around the world. He has encouraged the participants to abreast with the latest technology. Dr. Shakeela Sathish, Coordinator, SRMIST Ramapuram proposed vote of thanks.

Valedictory Function
The valedictory function was conducted on 27.09.2021 at 7.15 PM with the welcome address. At the very outset Dr. Sujit Das, coordinator, NIT Warangal, presented a brief report of FDP.
Dean (E&T) in his falicitation address congratulated and appreciated the department for taking up the latest trend of the Industry as the FDP topic, to upgrade the skill and competency of the Faculty members. He thanked E &ICT Academy, NIT Warangal for associting with SRMIST, Ramapuram in organising the FDP.
Dean Research in his valedictory address mentioned that there has been an enormous increase in the importance and usage of data science. He emphasized that the proposed concept is essential to equip ourselves according to the demand of the industry.
Dr. Shakeela Sathish, Coordinator, SRMIST, Ramapuram proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the national anthem.
Research scholars and faculty members from all over the nation participated in this FDP. The intensive exposure to the subject, through presentations and discussions led by multiple experts, renewed the motivation of the participants to pursue higher productivity and fulfillment of professional and academic goals. They appreciated, congratulated and thanked the organizers for organizing such informative sessions thereby acknowledging the success of the FDP.
