Memorandum of Understanding
Between
SRM Institute of Science and Technology
and
Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia
The Department of Biotechnology, College of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 7th August 2023. The MoU ceremony was held through online with Guests and VIP’s arrived at 12.45 pm. Session has started with welcome address delivered by Emcee (UniSZA), followed by the speech of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fadzlibin Adam, Vice Chancellor, UniSZA, Malaysia. In his address, he had congratulated for the collaboration and showed his intent to support in terms of research, students internships and immersion programs, faculty immersion program (either physical or virtual mode). He had then invited us, the higher officials and faculty members of SRM IST to visit UniSZA. Following by him, our Chief Director, SRM Group of Institutions, Ramapuram & Trichy Campus, Prof. N Sethuraman had delivered a speech and he shared about the Institution and its highest standards. He stressed the importance of such MOU for long term collaborations of both the university faculties, scholars and students and work together for academic and research development in the field of health care and life sciences. After the address, MOU was signed by both the universities virtually. Closing remarks was given by Dr. V. Subbaih Bharathi, Director, SRM IST, Ramapuram and he has also pointed out the importance of this collaboration in line with our National Education Policy 2020. Overall interactions and Vote of thanks was then delivered by Dr. Abraham Benjamin, Assistant Director, International Relations, SRM Group of Institutions, Ramapuram and Trichy Campus. MoU signing ceremony was coordinated by Dr.S.Suresh, Asst. Prof (Sr.G)/Biotechnology & IR coordinator (S&H).
