“Pongal Celebrations at Basilic Fly Studio”

The Department of Visual Communication, SRM IST Ramapuram, celebrated Pongal in collaboration with “Basilic Fly” VFX Studio on 12.01.2024 at Commerzone, Porur.
The students decorated the given space with their Pongal – themed artwork and backdrop. A tall cutout of a farmer along with bulls done by the students was put up. A huge backdrop of a village set up printed out in flex was put up too. Decorated Pongal pots along with sugarcane centered the hall. The whole ambience was decorated with flags and flowers. The students set up mehendi stalls, pottery stalls and participated in fun games and reels – making along with the members of the company.
The event was successfully conducted and co-ordinated by the art – direction club co ordinators under the guidance of Dr. V Prabhakaran ( Head, Media Studies ), Ms. P Yuvarani ( Programme Co-ordinator, Viscom ) and Mr. Rajagopal & Mr. D Saravanan ( Staff co – ordinators, Art Direction Club )
