“Mankhurd” – Movie screening and Interaction Session

The RECTANGLE film club – The Department of Visual Communication and The Department of Film Technology, SRM IST Ramapuram, organised screening of the film “Mankhurd” and an interaction session for the students on 19.01.2024 in the preview theatre.
Mr. Praveen Giri (director) and his team were heartily welcomed by the staff and students. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. V Prabakaran, Head, Media Studies. The multilingual feature film – “Mankhurd” was screened at the preview theatre. The students then had the opportunity to engage with the director, Mr. Praveen Giri through a lively Q&A session. This allowed them to seek advice, gain insights into the director’s experience and learn about navigating the challenges of making a film as the director shared his valuable advice and experience from his personal and professional life. The event facilitated networking between the students and director. The event was successfully conducted by the film club members and co-ordinators under the guidance of Ms. P Yuvarani, Programme Co-ordinator, Visual Communication.
