The Department of Computer Science and Applications organized TECHNOVIZ 2022, Project Contest for School Students on 12.10.2022 at TRP auditorium.
Dr J.Dhilipan presented the welcome address and he welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour for their valuable presence. He also welcomed Students and Teachers from Various School for the project contest. He insisted that every year SRM Ramapuram Campus organizing project contest among SRM Group of Institution. Technoviz provides opportunities to improve technical skills. He Concluded that functions like this is a platform to appreciate the efforts taken by the students apart from their academic activities.
Dr N Asokan Vice Principal Academic offered felicitations Address. During his address he congratulated the organizers for taking initiatives to conduct the event which is the Need of the hour. He insisted the students that academic curriculum is not enough to solve real time problem of 21st century. He advised the students to convert their ideas into concepts and concepts into implementation for success.
Dr. M. Vekataramanan, Dean, College of Science and Humanities offered felicitations. During his address he emphasized that the students are Future of India. He motivated the students by telling the importance of participation to exhibit their hidden innovative talents. He explained that events like this provides platform to meet other school students. He wished for event success. He added that around 8 Lakh students are competing their +2 exams and only 0.5 percentage of students are receiving the awards. He explained the story behind the initiatives taken for organizing Awards for Achievers function every year. He congratulated the students and the teachers for making the the students to become achievers.
Dr. Subbaiah Bharathi, Director, SRM Group of Institutions, Ramapuram. Given the presidential address. He appreciated the department for the event and for overwhelming responses. He advised the students to become scientist and programs like this trying to introduce latest development apart from textbook . He insisted that no need big intellectual mind to become scientist. He has given example of Ms. Vinisha from Thiruvannamalai who got many awards for her Solar powered Iron cot. He explained about IIT Madras research fellowship and central government schemes for innovative project ideas. He concluded his talk by saying , do not give up your dream same way try to fulfill parents dream also.
Dr.Gayathri Ramachandran, Correspondent and Chief Principal, Shri Natesan Vidyasala MHSS, Mannivakkam, Chennai presented the Inaugural Address. She Started her presentation by giving example for Community Engagement which helps to develop new product. She quoted Biotech Engineering family along with Bcom Studen and Local Pot makers introduced Cow Dug Product. She added that Students should focus on experiment for success. She appreciated MCA department for providing such opportunities to bridge the gap between school students.
Dr. P. Kannappan, Retd. Principal, Guru Nanak Hr. Sec. School. presented key note address. During his address he congratulated the students achievers for their wonderful performance during higher secondary education . He talked about 3 important areas. 1. Science is Serendipity. That is Discoveries are accidental. He added that to become a scientist three important qualities are required . Shift yourself from Hearing to Listening . Shifting yourself from Looking to observation, and shift yourself to ask question. He stated that do something to discover new things and to become scientist. He concluded his address by telling simple formula to achieve R4=C4. four R’s are , Read , Recall, Revise and Regular. four C’s are Clear, Correct, Complete.
Dr. G. Dheepa, Assistant Professor, MCA presented vote of thanks and students are requested to assemble for events.
