Day 1

The Department of Computer Science – B.Sc CS conducted Two days Faculty Development Program on 27.01.2021 titled Faculty Development Program on Assessment & Tools for students. The Resource person, Dr.N.Asokan, Vice Principal(Academic), College of Science and Humanities,SRM IST, Ramapuram Campus. He spoke on

  • Ability to identify the level of knowledge among the students on decision making and classroom purpose
  • About definition and difference between Assessment & Evolution
  • Evaluated low order thinking skills (remember, understand, apply) and high order thinking (analyze, evaluate,create) skills
  • Explained about stem and different types of stem and Alternatives/Distractors and the methods for framing the stem along with do’s and dont’s was delivered
  • Detailed about 20 check list points
  • Finally concluded MCQ Statistical point of view

The online session was attended by around 169 participants/students. The presentation was followed by a Q & A session. The FDP was well-coordinated by the faculty members Mrs.Manjula Babu AP/B.Sc CS

Day 2

The Resource person, Dr.M.Vinay, Assistant  professor, Department of Computer Science, CHRIST(Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. He spoke on

  • Methodology of teaching to vary from student to student based upon their level of understanding
  • Faculty need to adapt with the changing technology based on their stream for their sustainability
  • Continuum of technology usage from full face to face to entirely online
  • Students to be ready for future in terms of internet smart, internet alert, internet strong, internet kid and internet brave
  • Difference between the synchronous learning and asynchronous learning
  • Explained on tools such as Google meet, Microsoft Teams, Jio meet, Moodle, Google Classroom was delivered Finally concluded MCQ Statistical point of view
