- What is Agile ? Agile is a time boxed, iterative approach to software delivery that builds software incrementally from the start of the project, instead of trying to deliver it all at once near the end.
- It works by breaking projects down into little bits of user functionality called user stories, prioritizing them, and then continuously delivering them in short cycles called iterations.
- History of Agile – It all started in the spring of 2000, when a group of 17 software developers met in Oregon to discuss how they could speed up development times in order bring new software to market faster.
- Less than a year after that Oregon meeting, the history of Agile came into focus when the same group of 17 developers met again in Utah. During this meeting, they came up with “Agile Manifesto”.
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
Waterfall Vs Agile
