Welcome Address- Dr.J.Dhilipan- Vice Principal Academic & HOD/MCA

Dr.J.Dhilipan-Vice Principal – Academic-Faculty of Science and Humanities & HOD/MCA presented the welcome address. During his address, he welcomed the chief guest of todays function.

He added that the department has been conducting Alumni Guest lectures in frequent intervals every year which is aimed at elevating the skills of students by bridging the gap between academia and the industry.

Ms. Manisha Shaw started the session with an introduction of importance of testing and how to strengthen our resumes by adding testing skills

She added that Testing the user interface for any application is generally time-consuming when done for each new release.

UI test automation is the most common and effective way to simulate the actual user journey and business use-cases for any application.

The Program was based topic Design a Test Automation Framework with Selenium and Java

She added that Selenium Framework is a suite of automation testing tools that is based on the JavaScript framework. It could run the tests directly on the target browser, drive the interactions on the required web page and rerun them without any manual input.

She has clearly defined about  what is Testing?

Also she demonstrated testing in Facebook using selenium tool.

She concluded her session by explaining hands on session on how to develop a simple testing
