An Alumni Talk on “Navigating a Dynamic Career Landscape: Setting Goals and Achieving Success” for B.Sc CS students. The event took place on 04-07-2023 at the Second Floor – Lecture Hall. The talk featured two resource persons: Ms. K. Divya, a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies, Coimbatore, and Mr. Syed Rahaj, an Executive IT Support at Disys India Private Limited. Mr. U. Udayakumar, the Department Alumni Coordinator, delivered the welcome address and introduced the theme of the talk. Ms. Divya covered the scope and opportunities in B.Sc Computer Science, shared insights into the interview process at Wipro and Infosys, and provided tips to crack interviews. She also discussed the Placement Cell’s training offerings, aptitude tests, and HR interview preparation. Mr. Syed Rahaj addressed the placement eligibility and process at SRMIST, emphasizing the importance of academic courses. He also spoke about resume preparation and communication skills during HR interviews and group discussion rounds. The audience had the opportunity to clarify their doubts during the interactive session, and overall, the event was highly beneficial for all the participants.The organizing head was Dr. V. Saravanan, Vice Principal (Academics), Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science & Applications (B.Sc CS), and the convenors were Dr. J. Jebamalar Tamilselvi, Associate Professor, and Mr. A. Vignesh, Assistant Professor.
