The Department of Computer Science organized Guest Lecture on “COMPUTER NETWORKS” on 22.09.2022 for  Final Year B.Sc CS Students through  Online (Zoom & YouTube Live). Mr.U.Udayakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science gave an inaugural speech. He insisted on the significance of the computer networks. Mr.A.Vignesh ,Assistant Professor,Department of Computer Science introduced the speaker to the gathering. Dr.R.NismonRio,the Guest Speaker started his lecture on the topic of Implementation of single and multi area OSPF with sub areas and authentication. He discussed about the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) background and who developed and how it has been implemented and gave an clear idea about the Link state Algorithm it’s one part of OSPF, how it works ,more advanced OSPF in detail .He explained about the classification of routers ,implementing external routers and router authentication and  taught single and multi area OSPF and it’s advantages and how to implement it .He explained about the OSPF LSA types and configuring and verifying plaintext password Authentication. Atlast he gave an idea on Research challenges in TCP/IP protocol. Total participants: 75. Finally the lecture ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr.A.Vignesh Assistant Professor,Department of Computer Science .
