The Department of Computer Science and Applications (MCA) organised Skill Enhancement Activity on DeepSphere.AI Demystifies the Essential Industrial Skills for a Sustainable Data Scientist Career Transformation for BCA Data Science Students on10-01-2022, Wednesday, at 9.00 AM in Block 5, First Floor Gallery Hall. The Chief guest for the eventMr. Jothi Periasamy, Chief Data Scientist, Co- Founder & Chief AI Architect,from DeepSphere.AI, USA. Students from BCA data science participated in the event. Dr. J. Dhilipan, Vice Principal-Admin, Professor and Head Department of Computer Science and Applications delivered welcome address. Dr. R. Renuga Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Applications (MCA), introduced the speaker to the students.
Mr. Jothi Periasamy Started the Session by explaining his current projects Air Transportation and Motor Vehicle Identification.He Interacted with the students about the technology needed to build the above systems. He has given clear explanation about how to select problem statement & methodologies to solve the problems also explained “Explainable AI” and how it works?. Mr. Jothi given brief introduction about Redshift, Sage maker, tableau and MLOPS also explained about ARIMA, PROPHET, and DEEPAR models for forecastingHe has given explanation for Data Scientist and Data Engineer. He recommended students to build Model before getting in to projects. He Stated that “Don’t build a model that what we know, just leverage the models and choose right one”. Mr. Jothi has given definition for data science – “Apply Science on Data and Extract hidden insights”. Finally Mr.Jothi interacted with the students about the basic thing that should be learned for Internship and project works. He insisted the faculty members to form the team along with students for industry project work. The entire session was useful and very interactive.
