About Department of Biotechnology
The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRMIST, Ramapuram was established in the year 2019. It offers B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D., programs to enlighten and impart knowledge in the field of Biotechnology, from basic to recent developments through an inter-disciplinary research-oriented curriculum. Provided with a well established state-of-art laboratory and advanced infrastructure, the department has high-quality learning environment. It inculcates both theoretical and hands-on experience for the holistic development of the students, and thereby equip them to contribute to scientific advancements through higher education, employment, or entrepreneurship. The faculties are experienced in their academic specializations and research activities with publications in peer reviewed high impact factor journals. The department routinely organizes scientific events such as International and national conferences, seminars, workshops and club activities for the benefit of the students.
